Children’s Resiliency Program

Serving military families is our passion. Our vision is to provide military children with a creative resource for instilling resiliency by utilizing puppetry, music, dialogue, and brief lessons based on Dr. Ken Ginsburg’s 7 C’s of resiliency. Our puppet skits, so far are:

  • Resiliency (to include coping strategies and staying connected during deployment)
  • Transitioning in the Military
  • Test Taking Tips
  • Parent Teacher Conferences

Elizabeth Groover, Director of RWH’s Military Kids Resiliency Program has been trained to facilitate workshops on Resiliency and Transitioning in the Military through the Military Child Education Coalition. Her years of experience working with MCEC and her education (MHS) provide the basis for the skits that are prepared by Amanda Sudbury. Amanda has been the Director of the Extreme Grace Puppeteers for over two years and has an amazing ability to relate, through puppets, to children of all ages.
